# Driver Behaviour: Monitor Safe and Efficient Driving

> ShieldGPS detects speeding, harsh braking, and harsh acceleration so you can coach safer driving, cut fuel costs, and reduce insurance risk.

ShieldGPS monitors driving events that indicate unsafe or costly driving habits. By automatically detecting speeding, harsh braking, and harsh acceleration, the platform gives you objective data to coach drivers, reduce wear on your vehicles, lower fuel consumption, and build a case for reduced insurance premiums.

## Monitored Driving Events

## View Driver Behaviour Data

    Launch the ShieldGPS app on iOS or Android, or sign in at [shieldgps.co/dashboard](https://shieldgps.co/dashboard). Tap the device you want to review.

  <Step title="Tap 'Infractions' or 'Driver Score'">
    Navigate to the **Infractions** or **Driver Score** tab on the device detail screen. You'll see a chronological list of detected driving events and the overall score.

  <Step title="Tap an event for detail">
    Tap any individual event to see its date, time, location on the map, and severity. This makes it straightforward to discuss specific incidents with a driver.

## Configure Speed Alerts

To set the speed threshold for speeding detection, go to the device **Settings** screen and enter your preferred limit. The tracker will generate an alert the moment it is exceeded — and the event is logged in the Infractions history for future review. You can update the threshold at any time to match different vehicles, zones, or policies.
