# AT2 Portable 4G GPS Tracker — Setup & Usage Guide

> Set up your AT2 portable 4G GPS tracker. Magnetic mount attaches to any metal surface in seconds — no wiring, no tools, fully rechargeable.

The AT2 is a compact, portable 4G GPS tracker with a powerful built-in magnet that snaps onto any metal surface in an instant. Whether you need to track a car, van, trailer, equipment, or asset, the AT2 gives you the flexibility to move it between vehicles or hide it discreetly — no tools, no wiring, and no permanent installation required. Its rechargeable battery means you simply charge it, place it, and start tracking.

## Setup & Placement

  <Step title="Charge the battery">
    Before first use, fully charge your AT2 using the included USB cable. Connect it to any USB power source (wall adapter, laptop, power bank). A full charge typically takes **2–3 hours**. The LED will change colour when charging is complete.

  <Step title="Activate your subscription">
    Before the AT2 can transmit location data, you need an active subscription. Visit [shieldgps.co/activate](https://shieldgps.co/activate) and complete the registration steps using the IMEI printed on the device packaging.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Power on the device">
    Press and hold the power button for **3 seconds** until the LED flashes. The AT2 will begin searching for GPS signal and connecting to the 4G network.

  <Step title="Choose your placement location">
    Use the strong built-in magnet to attach the AT2 to any metal surface on your vehicle or asset. Common hidden locations include underneath the vehicle chassis, inside a wheel arch, behind a metal panel, or inside the boot/trunk near a metal floor plate.

  <Step title="Attach the device">
    Press the AT2 firmly against the metal surface — the magnet will hold it securely. Give it a light tug to confirm it won't come loose during movement. For extra security on rough terrain, you can secure it further with cable ties or adhesive pads.

  <Step title="Verify tracking in the app">
    Open the ShieldGPS app and confirm the AT2 is showing a live location on the map. Updates arrive every 10 seconds when the device is in motion.

## Powering On & First Use

Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn the AT2 on. On first use, allow up to **2 minutes** outdoors (or in an area with clear sky visibility) for the device to:

1. Acquire a GPS fix
2. Connect to the 4G network
3. Begin transmitting to the ShieldGPS platform

To power off, press and hold the power button for **5 seconds** until the LED turns off.

## Connecting to the App

    Install the ShieldGPS app from the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com) or [Google Play](https://play.google.com). Alternatively, log in via the web dashboard at [shieldgps.co/dashboard](https://shieldgps.co/dashboard).

    Open the app and sign in with the credentials you created during activation.

  <Step title="Add your AT2">
    Tap **Add Device** and enter the 15-digit IMEI number printed on the AT2 unit and its packaging.

  <Step title="Confirm live tracking">
    Your AT2 will appear on the map. Tap the device to see its current location, battery level, and movement status. Location updates every 10 seconds.

## LED Indicator Meanings

| LED Colour / Pattern        | Meaning                                            |
| --------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- |
| Solid green                 | GPS acquired, network connected — normal operation |
| Slow green flash            | Searching for GPS signal                           |
| Slow red flash              | No network connection                              |
| Red (solid, while on USB)   | Charging                                           |
| Green (solid, while on USB) | Fully charged                                      |
| Fast red flash              | Device error — power off and on again              |
